Visit information
Your visit
Practical information for before and after your appointment: getting here, parking, payment and what happens afterwards.
Getting here and parking
MotionFix is at St John's Centre, 64 Larcom Street, Elephant & Castle, London SE17 1NQ. The nearest station is Elephant & Castle station (Northern and Bakerloo lines and National Rail), about 12 minutes' walk away. The building has a lift with disabled access.
There is no parking at the clinic. Some of the surrounding streets have pay-and-display bays, run by Southwark Council. Which bays you can use, and when, varies from street to street, so check the signs before you leave your car.
Southwark takes payment for on-street parking through the PayByPhone app, so it helps to set that up before you arrive. Allow a little extra time to find a space, or come by public transport if you can.
If you have limited mobility and would like to talk through the best way to reach the clinic, call us on 020 3576 4351 before your appointment.
Before your appointment
- Arrive a few minutes early to complete your intake forms.
- Wear or bring comfortable clothing you can move in.
- Bring details of any relevant scans, medication or previous treatment.
For what happens in the assessment, see what to expect at your first visit.
Payment
We accept all major debit and credit cards, including American Express. Payment is taken at the time of your appointment. An initial consultation is £95 and follow-up treatments are £70.
Changing or cancelling
Please give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to change or cancel your appointment. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are charged in full. To change or cancel, call 020 3576 4351 or email info@motionfix.co.uk.
After your appointment
After your session, we will email you advice and exercises specific to you.
Some people feel sore or tired for a day or two afterwards, a little like after unfamiliar exercise. This is usually short-lived. Gentle activity is generally fine unless you have been advised otherwise.
If your symptoms change or get worse, get in touch with the clinic.
Seek urgent medical attention (A&E or 999) if you develop numbness around the groin or inner thighs, difficulty passing or controlling urine or bowels, or sudden weakness in a leg.
